Who am I, and Why am I qualified?

My experience with aviation and curiosity with flight started 30 years ago. Most of my life has been spent as a commercial airline pilot, but that’s not the whole story.

I have worked as a:

• flight instructor teaching new pilots and mentoring experienced pilots
• charter pilot in paradise
• aerial survey pilot planning for emergency response
• military helicopter pilot
• captain with one of the largest airlines in the world.

When I was attending my military flight school I already had over 3000 hours of flight time.  Many of my fellow students had never touched the controls of an aircraft.  My experience allowed me to act as a mentor to many of these students and help guide them through the maze of rules, regulations, and flight techniques.

KL Aviation is my way to continue that mentorship and pay forward all of the guidance and help that I have received during my career.
